Fail, fail, fail, fail, succeed

The Wrong Perspective

Maybe, just maybe, what we need is adversity – things going wrong instead of going right. Because that’s where we’re most alive and full of urgency, that’s where we are actively engaged in learning how to overcome whatever obstacle is in front of us.

Perhaps what we don’t need is for life to be too comfortable, because that’s where stupor and complacency lives. The moment you become comfortable is the moment you lose your edge. Yet comfort is paradoxically what we all seek.

There are days where I get so frustrated, thinking I can’t wait until I take care of (insert perceived problem here) so I can get back to doing what I want to do.

What if I have it backwards? Maybe taking care of problems is the whole point, and doing what I want to do is just a distraction.
