- (Noun) A tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged.
- (Physics) A property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.
The thing is, nothing ever remains unchanged – at least if it’s alive. All living things are either in a state of becoming, or a state of entropy.
Or perhaps both at the same time.
Your choice.
