Emotional Intelligence Part 1

I am endlessly fascinated by the mysterious complexity of human interactions. It seems relatively straightforward at first glance – our perceptions of others and their perceptions of us. But when you begin to delve into how relationships work, our own actions and responses can seem almost beyond understanding.

Some people seem to have an innate ability to motivate others in pursuit of a goal, while others struggle even asking for help. Absorbing punishment and letting it go is very easy for some, while others can nurse a grudge over the smallest perceived slight for years.

And all of this is in a constant state of flux, because it is possible for us to grow and change. To what degree is largely up to us…
